Frederik is Art Director and runs, together with Tim Seifert and Torsten Bergler the website Freunde von Freunden which portrays people of diverse creative and cultural backgrounds in their homes and within their daily working environments. They feature real people from around the world with an honest and authentic approach. Frederik is a passionate cyclist and definitely drawn towards everything aesthetic, special and new.
What is more important to you, the sense of feel or the sense of sight?
Sight is really important to me: without it I’d be in a real mess. But you can also see through the sense of feel and all the senses for feeling are just as important.
Why?
I’m a graphic artist and the visual aspect is how I earn my livelihood.
What is your vision as a creative person for your own work?
To inspire and touch people.
What is your tactic for making the world a better place?
Don’t throw stones if you live in a glasshouse. Think about your own actions before you criticise those of others.
When did you last give back and what was it?
Today – a smile.
What is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?
There are quite a few, so it’s not that easy to answer, but the beauty of nature never fails to impress me.
Sunrise or sunset?
Sunrise and the dawning of a new day. Without the sun we wouldn’t be able to see anything and we wouldn’t even exist.
